The Positives

Incredibly Comfortable

best hybrid mattress

Let’s get the most important thing out of the way first — the Vesgantti Hybrid is really very comfortable.

It’s definitely on the firmer side (more on this later) but if you like your mattresses with plenty of support and integrity, you will love the Vesgantti.

We can credit the comfort level to the unique hybrid of individual pocket springs and the multiple layers of foam. Together, they allow the mattress to support and conform to your body, while also cradling your muscles and joints for a soothing night’s sleep.

While you don’t have the plush comfort of a pillow top or luxury memory foam product, this mattress certainly delivers as a fantastic hybrid.

Super Supportive

Following on from the above point, the Vesgantti mattress is also very supportive. The pocket springs work independently to provide general stability, as well as individual support to your feet, legs, hips, waist, shoulders, neck, and head.

But that’s not all!

The springs, along with the multiple layers of foam, also relieve pressure points along your body. As such, you’re unlikely to feel those aches and pains from hard spots.

Finally, the springs work to correct your posture by placing your spine in correct alignment. What more can you ask from a mattress? You’ll have both comfort and support working together to give a blissful dreamy sleep.

Supportive mattresses are also handy when you become ill, or are recovering from injury or surgery. Since it helps to support your joints and muscles, you’ll be on your way to a speedy recovery with the Vesgantti Hybrid Mattress.

No Motion Transfer

Unlike many pure pocket spring mattresses, the Vesgantti Hybrid doesn’t show any motion transfer as you sleep. If your sleeping partner tosses and turns, rises in the middle of the night for the bathroom or gets up for work, you won’t feel them moving or be disturbed by their shifting.

Since the springs are contained in their own individual pockets, one spring doesn’t affect the other. As such, you’ll both get the sleep you need without waking each other up.

This means fewer cranky mornings as a result of your partner, and much easier cohabitating. This is great for those with differing schedules, or partners who tend to sleep a little wilder than the other at night.

Very Quiet

While you won’t have to worry about your partner, you also won’t have to worry about being annoyed by the sound of your bed either.

As mentioned, the springs are individually placed in their own pocket and surrounded by multiple layers of cotton and memory foam. The advantage of this? You won’t hear your bed squeak and creak when you toss and turn at night.

I loved how quiet the bed is when you move around in it. The sound of a bed is often forgotten until you’re annoyed by it, but with this mattress, you won’t have to worry at all.

Just make sure you don’t have creaky floorboards 😂

Breathable and Cool

The Vesgantti Mattress is also very breathable, staying cool throughout the night. The foam is temperature-sensitive, saps away moisture from your body, and is composed of a material that inhibits bacteria. This is definitely a win as some cheaper memory foam mattresses are known to trap heat and leave you feeling clammy when you wake up.

This intelligent foam means that you’re kept clean, cool, and dry – even during the sweatiest summer nights. Additionally, the cover is made of breathable cotton and polyester, which resists heat no matter how long you rest on it.

If you tend to sleep hot or in warmer climates, this might be the answer to a more restful night’s sleep.

No Odor

When unpacking this mattress, you likely won’t notice any odor. This is rather exceptional since memory foam is notorious for its chemical smell – especially when packaged and shipped.

Having recently reviewed the Casper Essential, which is another great mattress for a similarly low price, I was expecting a similar amount of stinky off-gassing. A pleasant surprise when nothing materialized!

It’s a common problem that many can’t avoid without airing out their mattress but it could be an ongoing issue for those who are very sensitive to smells. Never fear – with the Vesgantti, you’ll have zero to worry about.

This may be due to the memory foam’s placement: surrounded by springs, cotton, pressure-relieving layers, and the cover. The odor is contained by several different materials, so you’re left with a neutral smell.

Surprisingly Affordable

One of the best things about the Vesgantti Hybrid — and likely what makes it so popular — is its low price.

If you’ve been shopping for mattresses, you know how much a hybrid (or even a standard memory foam) bed can cost.

They range anywhere from $500 to well over $1000. Luckily, the Vesgantti comes at a steal.

Plus you’re not compromising on durability like you do with many cheap mattresses. It actually comes with a 10-year warranty and a 100-night sleep trial to stretch your dollar even further.

The Negatives

Definitely on the Firm Side

I want to be clear that I don’t think a firmer mattress is a negative in and of itself. But it can’t be denied that some people much prefer a softer, plusher night’s sleep.

Depending on your preferences, some might conclude that the Vesgantti Hybrid is too firm for them. Of course, comfort is a subjective opinion, and what is too hard for one person may be too soft for another!

For what it’s worth, I think this is a true Medium-Firm that will suit most sleepers and sleeping positions — aside from people looking for that super plush, soft mattress.

Nonetheless, if you’re unsure, there is a 100-day trial available to test the mattress and see if it’s to your liking. If it fails to meet your standards within 100 days, you can receive a full refund.

Cover Can't Be Removed

vesgantti mattress review

One of my major bug bears with some mattresses is when you can’t remove the cover to give it a good wash. These things can get dirty — not to mention marks and stains!

Additionally, Vesgantti recommends not trying to clean the cover at all. Er… what?

Instead, they suggest using a waterproof mattress cover to protect the bed. This should be an essential purchase anyway with any new mattress in order to protect it and enhance longevity.

But I’d still like the option to wash the cover anyway!

Ah well, a minor annoyance — but one worth noting.

Not Available in a King Size

My final small complaint is that there’s not enough of it — many people prefer King size beds and that’s simply not an option with the Vesgantti Hybrid.

Size options range from Twin up to Queen but unfortunately nothing bigger than that.

Those of us who prefer a big ol’ mattress will have to look elsewhere.

Once you’re tucked in, the first layer you’ll find is a cotton blanket, followed by a thick layer of springs – specifically, hundreds of individual stainless springs, each in their own designated pocket.
Cotton Layer, HD Support Foam
Next is a second layer of cotton and a high-density support foam.
Woven Fabric, Springy Foam
This is followed by several layers of breathable woven fabric, as well as a springy black foam.
Egg Crate Foam, Poly-fill Cotton
Next is a layer of egg crate foam, with a final layer of premium poly-fill cotton.

Vesgantti: The Brand

Founded in 2012, Vesgantti prides itself on producing “comfortable and affordable products for every family”. They do this by providing luxurious mattresses and other furniture to help their customers relax and sleep.

According to their website, they “use sleep science to make products that not only help you fall asleep more quickly but stay in deep sleep longer.”

Currently, they sell hybrid and purely memory foam mattresses, pillows, bedding, and sheets, as well as fabric storage benches.

Overall Verdict

It’s pretty hard to knock the Vesgantti Multilayer Hybrid Mattress — super comfortable, highly supportive and durable, all for a rock-bottom price.

It also comes with a 10 year limited warranty and a 100 night trial — essential if you’re wondering whether it might be a bit firm for your tastes.

There are a couple of minor flaws — mainly the fact that the cover can’t be removed for washing and it’s not available in a King — but all-in-all, this is an outstanding hybrid mattress.
