The Inofia Super Comfort Hybrid Mattress (available on Amazon) is being lauded for being one of the best value mattresses in the USA right now.
Comfortable, supportive, cool — and with an incredibly low price tag. What more could you want?
I decided to test out the Inofia to see if it is really as good as the hype suggests and whether it’s worth your hard earned cash.
While I was undoubtedly impressed — be aware that it’s not a perfect mattress. Edge support is a little lacking and the innersprings certainly aren’t silent. Let’s get into the nitty gritty so you can decide if these are a dealbreaker for you.

The Positives
It’s easy to feel why so many people rate this cheap mattress — it’s really comfortable.
As soon as you lie down, it gives that ‘sleeping on a cloud’ feeling and is surprisingly plush, given its price tag.
It manages to do what a lot of more expensive mattresses justify their prices with — the top layer of foam reduces any pressure points and provides a much softer experience than you’d normally expect from an innerspring mattress. This top layer also helps create a cooler surface and disperses any heat from the temperature of the room or your body.
The high-density foam further down allows the mattress to conform to your body, relieving tense muscles and cushioning injuries as well. And of course the innerspring coils add fantastic bounce and support.
The 3D knitted fabric, covering the layers of foam, is also breathable for even greater added comfort.
The Inofia Hybrid is also impressively supportive. The coils are both resilient and offer a good cushion to the key parts of your spine.
The high-density base foam provides support to ensure you don’t sink too far into the mattress (never a good thing).
And, there are five comfort zones that offer precise cushion and relieve pressure on every part of your body that the mattress comes in contact with.
You won’t be waking up with aches and pains after sleeping on this mattress.
Undoubtedly, the most attractive thing about the Inofia Super Comfort Hybrid is its incredible low price.
Mattresses are certainly getting cheaper and cheaper nowadays, but it is unusual to see a hybrid go as low as this.
This will definitely make it a worthy contender for people on a budget, students looking for something comfy for dorm living and even people wanting something for guest rooms and the kids’ beds.
One of the things I always look out for in cheap mattresses is whether they stay cool all night through or not.
Memory foam is notorious for running hot unless its expertly engineered, so it’s definitely worth being aware of.
Happily, the Inofia Hybrid stayed cool all night for me — and I live in a hot climate. This is probably down to the various cooling technology found in the foam layers, as well as the fact that its relatively thin at just 8 inches thick.
In true bed-in-a-box style, the mattress arrives to your door, compressed and easy to handle.
To set up your mattress, all that’s necessary is to bring the shipping box into the desired room, and then carefully cut open the box. Make sure that you don’t accidentally cut the mattress at this point.
After this, place the rolled-up mattress on the platform of your choice, and then cut away the plastic and allow the bed to unroll. It’s that simple.
Inofia recommends 72 hours for the mattress to reach its full plushness and original shape, so you might want to find another place to sleep until this process is finished.
You should also expect a slight odor which will dissipate after 72 hours, but this is normal with compressed foam mattresses.
Whether a mattress is safe or not may not be the first thing you check for when looking for an adult bed. But it’s certainly important.
The Inofia has a fire-retardant barrier that ensures even when the worst happens, your mattress won’t be totally destroyed – and won’t add to the fire. This is a must with any mattress!
This mattress is also safe for those who tend to sniffle and sneeze from either the weather, dust, or pollen. Thankfully the cover is hypoallergenic, so those with allergies or sensitive noses can rest easy.
High-grade innerspring coils are used in this mattress that are made of carbon steel and designed to be rust resistant.
The interior of the Inofia mattress is also designed to protect against any warping so you know these coils are made to support you for a long time.
It also comes with a 10-year warranty so you know you’re protected for a while.
The Negatives
One of the slightly annoying things about the Inofia Super Comfort is that the innerspring coils aren’t silent — they make a tiny popping sound when you move around.
I don’t think this should be a dealbreaker for anyone, but it serves to show where the value engineering is on a mattress like this. There’s always a compromise when you buy a cheap mattress, and for the Inofia it’s this. I guess that’s better than a compromise on comfort or support!
A lot of people choose hybrid mattresses like the Inofia Super Comfort because they offer a little more bounce than your usual memory foam mattress, while still retaining that comfort and support of the foam.
You’ve certainly got bounce and then some with the Inofia.
While bounce in itself is a good thing (especially for any bedtime activities other than sleeping…) it can mean that there’s lots of motion transfer — i.e. when you can feel your partner getting up and getting in to bed, tossing and turning.
And I definitely notice motion transfer with this mattress. Again, not a huge dealbreaker but definitely something to bear in mind if you’re a light sleeper or your partner works shifts and you’re getting in and out at different times.
Another issue with the Inofia that’s common in memory foam mattresses is that there isn’t enough edge support — you’ll likely find yourself sinking in (or worse, sliding off) if you’re sat on the edge of the bed for whatever reason.
If this is a concern for you, I’d recommend looking into a bed with reinforced edges. They make all the difference.
I’m nitpicking a little here but I was disappointed that you can’t remove the cover for washing occasionally.
You are able to spot clean and vacuum it if you accidentally make a spill or stain.

Material Composition
The Inofia Innerspring Hybrid Mattress is made out of:
Inofia: The Brand
Inofia was founded by people who had trouble sleeping and wanted to solve that problem.
They couldn’t find anything already on the market that actually made them have a better night’s rest, and they didn’t like going to showrooms to lay down on mattresses.
So, they went to the person who would ultimately become their co-founder, and they made the mattress that would start Inofia. They claim to have started the company “to help people sleep comfy.”
Overall Verdict
If you’re on a budget but don’t want to compromise on comfort and support when it comes to your mattress, the Inofia Super Comfort Hybrid is an excellent buy.
Plushly comfortable, impressively supportive and stays cool all night long, it’s no wonder it’s so popular — I think you’ll be surprised at how cheap it is.
There are a few compromises to navigate — namely, it can be a little noisy, edge support is lacking and you will have to contend with some motion transfer.
But it’s damn hard to argue with that price!

How is the mattress returned during the free trial if not wanted.
I don’t know if you buy it from them directly, however, I called amazon and asked them if I needed to return a mattress how I would do that since getting it back in the box would be impossible. They said they would send someone to my house to pick it up as is. No need to wrap it or get it back into a box. I hope that helps.
What is in the fire-retardant barrier exactly? Is fiberglass used for this, as it is in many mattresses?
