Rivet Mattress Rated
HTS Verdict
If you’re looking for a cheap memory foam mattress that delivers on comfort and an easy set-up, the Rivet mattress is a great buy.
It’s less well suited to sleepers with bad backs who might require a more specialist level of support and be aware that it can sleep a little warm in hot climates.

The Rivet Mattress (available on Amazon) is an Amazon brand mattress that’s proving popular for its firm comfort at a reasonable price.
Made in the USA, the Rivet comes with a 10 year warranty as well as a 100-night trial, so it’s definitely worth testing out if you’re not 100% sure if it’s for you or not.
There were a couple of things that I didn’t love about the mattress, including that I’d ideally like to see more support if you’re sleeping on it with a bad back, but we’ll get into the nitty gritty shortly.
Let’s take a look…

The Positives
I found the Rivet Mattress to be very comfortable — although I would say that it’s only suitable for people looking for a firmer mattress. Sleepers who prefer soft should look elsewhere.
But even with the firm surface, there is a plush plumpness to it that makes you want to lie down and tuck in for a good night’s sleep.
With the multiple layers of memory foam, the LURAcor top layer that helps to relieve pressure points, and the soft cover, this bed certainly ticks the box for comfort.
Undoubtedly one of the most attractive features of the Rivet mattress is its reasonable price.
This is definitely not a top-of-the-range mattress but, regardless, the price is still good and definitely makes it accessible to a lot of customers who may not otherwise have been able to afford a memory foam mattress.
Plus, if you have Amazon Prime membership, you’ll get it delivered free (and quickly!) as its one of their own brands.
Some of us really like to indulge in relaxation. This might mean bringing a glass of wine or some snacks to bed. But this also means you’re at risk of ruining your mattress if you’re not careful.
Fortunately, Amazon has thought ahead and ensures you can be at ease without worry.
The Rivet mattress comes with a removable cover, so you need only unzip it and throw it in the washer and dryer. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I value a removable cover so this is a big win in my book.
There are very few standard mattresses that can be cleaned so easily, and most require that you purchase a mattress cover or pad separately.
However, if you make a spill on this bed, the easy-clean feature is included. Just get to the mess before it sinks in! If you have children or pets, this feature will come in extra handy.
Amazon is known for its outstanding customer service and this extends to the Rivet Mattress. The company has made this mattress with the customers in mind, giving shoppers fewer things to worry about.
The mattress comes shipped, super quickly right to your door, and all you have to do is drag it to its resting place, unbox, and let it expand. With Amazon’s Prime shipping services, you’ll have little time to wait before you can get a better night’s sleep.
The 100-night trial and 10 year warranty allow you to purchase with fewer risks involved, and Amazon is known for their great return policies.
Furthermore, customers have noted no issues when contacting Amazon for a refund so you can rest your worried head.
Following on from the above is how easy it is to set the Rivet mattress up.
As with most of the mattresses I review nowadays, it comes delivered to your door compressed and rolled up in a box with handles. You just need to take that box to the room you want it in and unroll it on your bedframe.
It’s pretty heavy — I think the Queen was nearing 70lbs — but there are some useful handles on the box to help you maneuver it if you don’t have someone around to help.
It requires about 24 hours for full expansion which is reasonably quick for a memory foam mattress. Happily, I didn’t notice any noxious off-gassing which is so common with foam these days.
All in all, a pretty seamless experience.
The Negatives
The Rivet has a fair degree of support to it which should be absolutely sufficient for most people.
The top layer of LURAcor alt latex foam has been designed to align the neck and spine as well as relieve pressure points. I woke up after a night on this feeling rested with no aches or pains.
However, I suspect the same could not be said for people who suffer with bad backs or joint problems who may find that there’s simply not enough support. Certain heavier body parts seem more likely to sink into the mattress rather than be properly cradled.
Rivet say that the middle layer of inner support is designed to evenly distribute weight which should help with this, but at only 2 inches, I’m not sure if there’s enough of it for people who need more intensive support.
One of the things I worry about with pure foam beds like this one is their propensity to trap heat.
Some mattresses are really ‘on it’ when it comes to cooling technology like gel infusions to try and release heat, but unfortunately I don’t think the Rivet has focused on this too much.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a hugely hot mattress — I didn’t wake up sweaty like I have done before! — but it can get a little warm, especially if you’re sharing a bed and living in a hot climate.
If a cool night’s sleep is a deal breaker for you, the Rivet probably isn’t the mattress for you.
I’m a little disappointed that the Rivet comes in only three sizes. If you were hoping for a Twin, Twin XL, or even a California King, think again. It only comes in Full, Queen, and King.
This is one of those things that’ll either be a deal breaker or not — chances are a Queen or a King will fit you absolutely fine. But if you’ve got a really small bedroom and wanted a single bed, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
On the other hand, if your heart is set on ultra-large, the normal King will have to suffice.

Amazon: The Brand
Founded in 2004 by Jeff Bezos, Amazon has been a selling giant for quite a few years now.
They provide everything you could ever think of. From food to mattresses to electronics to books and toys, they have it all.
More recently, they have begun to create their own Amazon-branded products such as the Rivet Mattress, the Amazon Echo and Fire, and even their own bedding line.
Amazon’s headquarters are currently located in Seattle, Washington.
Overall Verdict
I think most people will be satisfied with the Rivet Mattress as it offer firm memory foam comfort at a great price. Plus it’s easy to set-up with no off-gassing.
I’d be more cautious about recommending it to people with bad backs as I think they would require a higher degree of support that’s available here. And it may not be ideal if you live in a hot climate as it can run a little warm.
