This is probably down to the 4 layers in its composition, each of which is carefully formulated to provide some combination of support, cooling comfort and conforming luxury.

The Cool Breeze Gel Memory Foam mattress has proved a hit with many buyers because of this very fact — even with people with more specialist problems like bad backs and night sweats.

Following on from the last point is how effectively this mattress stays cool.

A lot of companies will boast that their mattress sleeps cool, but this often turns out to be hot air as soon as you test drive it during the warmer seasons.

I’ve hinted at it from the start but undoubtedly one of the most attractive features of the Cool Breeze is its low price point.

Once released from its packaging, it expands to its natural size very quickly, so it’s best to only start unpacking it once you’ve taken it to your bedroom and are ready to set it up.

The manufacturers recommend that you wait 72 hours for the product to expand to its full size, although mine certainly got there much quicker than that.

Let’s make no bones about it, this memory foam mattress is firm.

If you prefer a softer bed to fall asleep into, it will likely be too firm for your tastes. If you’re more on the fence and prefer somewhere down the middle, however, it’s definitely worth a try.

It strikes the right balance between comfort and support and should be just as comfortable whether you’re a side, back or stomach sleeper.

If you love the mattress but find it a little too firm, it might be worth thinking about buying an additional topper to adapt the mattress to your comfort level. I often recommend this anyway as toppers help to prolong longevity of the mattress.

Bearing in mind that it’s definitely on the firmer side, I wasn’t sure whether to put this point in the pros or the cons list. I eventually settled on cons as it does indicate the wear and tear of the mattress.

Like many cheap memory foam mattresses, the Dynasty Mattress Cool Breeze loses its firmness over time and starts to soften.

While that may be a good thing if you prefer a softer night’s sleep, it does mean that the mattress quality declines over time.

This should take place over a matter of years, rather than months, so probably isn’t a deal breaker: but it is something to consider when evaluating your budget for a mattress.

Off-gassing is a perennial problem with memory foam mattresses. Why hasn’t anyone discovered a way to eliminate them yet?

Anyway, the smell isn’t quite as pungent as some of the mattresses I’ve tried, but there is undoubtedly an initial smell to contend with — especially when you first unpack this bad boy.

I’d suggest airing it out for as long as possible, keeping windows open and using some sort of air purifier in the meantime if it’s really bothering you. I didn’t notice anything after the first couple of days.
