Wondering whether to buy the Zotto Sleep Mattress? Here’s a little metaphor for you…
If the mattress world was a movie about an a 1950s rag-tag baseball team that — against all odds — makes it to the top, then Zotto Sleep would be the unexpected kid requited at a local game with a killer swing who, in the end, makes the definitive home run.
In other words… we really like it!
Even though they’re relatively new to the game, Zotto has managed to rise to the top in a very short span of time and is generally reviewed as one of the best mattresses out there at the moment.
But does it live up to the hype? Let’s find out…

Have you ever slept on a mattress that’s been so carefully designed, so well thought-out that its very composition had a title of the celebrity likes of Brangelina? Well, now you can.
Zotto’s patent pending layering structure has been dubbed the “Z3 Difference”, a hybrid-foam combination built from the bottom up to smooth out any possible kinks on your way to a good night’s sleep.
The mattress, measuring in at 10” with the Queen, has three main layers and one top layer — hence the Z3.
The bottom base is a very dense, high-quality foam that gives support and promises to increase your mattress’ lifespan.
This base layer is followed by a transition layer that functions as a mediator: it prevents sinking, adds edge-support and localizes the bounce.
What comes next is a layer called the “CoolFlow,” and arguably one of the major elements that pushes the Zotto Sleep Mattress into the big leagues: made of open-cell hybrid material, this layer adds temperature regulation to pressure-point relief.
The top and final layer is a thermaphase one, combining two different kinds of phase-change gels, giving the mattress its plush feel.
This particular layering does a few things very right. We’ve mentioned the temperature regulation, but beyond what the different foam consistencies do is create a pressure-relief system that can vary depending on positioning, movement, and body-type.
It’s also worth mentioning that the Zotto Sleep is CertiPUR-US certified, which means you can sleep on it knowing there’s no health risks involved—for both you and the environment.
Zotto Sleep: The Brand
According to the two company founders, the idea for their particular way of layering and combining hybrid and foam came from their own trial-and-error adventures in mattress making.
When searching for something to make their own sleep a little better, they ran into some classic Goldilocks issues: too hot, too cold, too soft, too hard, etc.
The Zotto Sleep Memory Foam mattress is designed to hit just the right mark on all of the above.
This means that even though Zotto Sleep is a very young brand, it’s one born from a dedicated place rather than a willy-nilly venture — which is always good to know when you plan on investing in a product.
The Zotto Sleep Memory Foam mattress is the only one the company has produced so far.
A good thing, if you ask us: it means that all their focus has gone into perfecting a single invention. Beyond that, it also means they can offer incredibly helpful and personalized customer service, something they’re noted for in the community.
Zotto Sleep Mattress: Review
- Z3 Difference: We know we’ve spoken about the mattress composition already, but it truly is a unique and quality experience, combining the best of latex and memory foam.
- Super Soft and Durable Cover: The poly and rayon cover is so soft we actually considered using it without bed sheets. But then we realised we didn’t want the kids to stain it!
- ThermaPhase Technology: Keeps your body at a temperature optimal for sound sleep, all night long
Above everything, the major takeaway we had from trying out the Zotto Sleep Mattress was how gosh-darn comfortable it is.
We had some incredible night’s sleep on this mattress, never failing to wake up refreshed and comfortable.
In fact, the comfort level is so high, we didn’t actually ever even want to get out of bed. It’s that good.
Heat storing in foam mattresses has been one of the biggest issues of the market from day one, and while several companies have made good improvements — especially in the last few years — far and by the problem is a typical one.
Zotto sleep’s layering solution — incorporating open-cell hybrid material and two kinds of phase-change gel — actually really does make a huge difference. You get the bounce of latex, the firmness of foam, and the breathability of spring. Check, check, and check.
Very Reasonably Priced
And considering that line-up, Zotto Sleep Memory Foam mattress settles in on the lower-end of the price ranges.
Cheaper than Casper and Tempur, and outperforming them in surveys, Zotto Sleep makes a great contender at a very fair price.
It rarely needs announcing or explaining these days as easy shipping seems — thankfully — to have become the norm when buying mattresses online.
But especially as Zotto Sleep Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress ships at 90 pounds and expands to an impressive 10”, the compact ease of a small, portable box is even more important.
Here’s a look at the unboxing process:
A+ For Customer Service
When we’re testing a product at the HtS main offices, usually our focus is on exactly that: the product itself.
A company’s customer service is something we rarely have to engage with full force, and if we write about it, it’s usually because of note-worthy feedback we’ve received from our home testers. In this case, ‘note-worthy’ means, ‘really, really good.’
Zotto Sleep has a dedicated group of people at the other end of their phones, emails, even faxes if you so wish to contact them. Real people who know the product, are confident in its quality and will not pressure you into a purchase you’re not a 100% sure of.
A hundred days guarantee. That’s right, a quarter of a year.
Or, as one of our colleagues rightly pointed out, the amount of time it takes for a puppy to go from the size of your hand to a full-fledged dog.
Needs a Good Foundation
This might be one of the only areas where the Zotto Sleep Memory Foam might’ve been a little too overconfident in its abilities.
The Zotto Sleep is a sturdy mattress that needs a solid support, and while it is at times marketed as fit for any foundation, it really fares best in a frame of some kind.
While it’ll still be a good mattress even if left on the ground, you won’t get the best of what it can offer.
If the Zotto Sleep Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress is considered alongside its competitors, it’s a very fair price for a very high quality mattress.
But it’s certainly not one of the cheapest out there. This is for you to keep in mind: it’s an investment, yes, but for a good reason.
Doesn’t Ship Abroad
Zotto isn’t the only brand on the market who hasn’t yet expanded across the seas, although it’s a real pity they haven’t.
A shame, we believe, because with the compact vacuum seal packaging this mattress could easily ship abroad. Sorry, international readers, I’m afraid you’ll have to wait. Or send a message their way—can’t hurt either way.
We can’t say enough good things about the Zotto Sleep mattress.
It’s exceptionally well made, supremely comfortable and reasonably priced alongside its competitors. It’s worked hard to work out some of the major kinks in the existing foam mattress market — balancing support with cool breathability— and it shows.
The one drawback that might be a dealbreaker is that it needs a solid surface to perform at it’s best, in our opinion.
Regardless, it’s a great option for those looking to invest in a quality product that’s guaranteed to give you a solid night’s sleep.
Where to Buy the Zotto Sleep Mattress
